DescriptionOne of the crown jewels of my collection, this is one of Ken Kelly's most iconic and popular paintings, titled Death's End. It was one of his personal favorite pieces, and he said it received the most fan response (obviously besides his Kiss album covers). Beautifully painted in oil on masonite, you can certainly see the influence of his uncle and mentor, Frank Frazetta. Perhaps a bit of a homage to Frazetta's Death Dealer in look and in a similar pose to his famous Conan painting.Published in various places including the box cover and #1 card of the second series of his card set by FPG in 1994, and also the cover of Ken’s published artbook (Escape). It also served as the cover art for the 90s cult classic PC game, Witchaven by Capstone Games. He also worked with famous sculptor, Tony Cipriano, to do a massive 20" statue!
