Description

These beautiful color pages from the King of the World were the opening pages from the first part of Wally Wood's famous The Wizard King Trilogy. His wife at the time, Tatjana Wood, provided the finished colored artwork for the issue in watercolor done over the printed blue lines of Wally Wood’s splendid linework. This was dressed with an acetate over the linework printed in black. The pages have an image area of 8.25" x 11.25" each. Lightly toned and in Very good condition.

Very pleasant colors to have an idyllic village fantasy setting modelled after folklore. It establishes what's at stake should the heroes fail.
