DescriptionThis beautiful cover image of Omaha on her record picture disc LP contained 11 songs by The Shakers, and 7 of those songs were written by either Omaha writer Kate Worley or artist Reed Waller. Also featured in color full-page advertisements in various issues, including back covers of Omaha Issue #1 (later print) and #12 (Kitchen Sink, 1989) and numerous other publications by Kitchen Sink Press. The "A" side art features the Omaha logo with the main character looking at herself in the constellations. Included are the original art for the main Omaha cover record image and the constellation artwork itself. They were created in ink over graphite and Zip atone background with constellation on bright white Bristol board. The image area has a diameter of 16.75" and is on an oversized illustration board measuring 18x24. In addition to the art, there is a 7.5" x 7.25" color guide (created from printed line art and water colored), and an 11.5" diameter full-color printer's proof. The original art and printer's proof are in Excellent condition. The color guide is in Very Good condition. From the Denis Kitchen Collection."Omaha" the Cat Dancer was a standout independent comic book of the 1980s created by artist Reed Waller and his writing partner, Kate Worley. It was unique during its era in that it featured well-defined anthropomorphic animal characters in stories that were told for adults, complete with hardcore sex scenes. Unlike most comic books that featured graphic sex scenes, the series featured stories with strong characters and realistic situations. Lead character Omaha is an anthropomorphic feline who makes her living as an exotic dancer in Minnesota. "Omaha" the Cat Dancer first appeared in "The Adventures of Omaha, which was published in comic strip form in Reed Waller's fanzine Vootie in 1978. The comic book run began in Bizarre Sex #9 (1981) and continued in Omaha the Cat Dancer in 1984 from Kitchen Sink Press. The title ran for 20 issues from 1986-1993 and was revived for four more issues published from 1994-1995. Social/Sharing |

The size is so big that the it's impressive with the big sheets of zip to get the effect back then. The Waller inks are sublime creating one of the most attractive Omaha pictures ever.

Another very cool score, well done! The inking in the hair is particularly beautiful on this. I have a copy of the original collectible disc, if anyone wants one...!

Thanks, Mark! It pales in comparison to your great collection of Omaha, but I'm working on it!
