Description

Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, and Professor X - the uncanny cast of the 1992 X-Men animated series (and arguably the most famous mutant lineup in the franchise's history) - are masterfully rendered by one of the all-time greats in comics: Neal Adams! Originally created as a promotional image ahead of the series' debut and published in Marvel house ads and trade publications, this particular group shot was repurposed as the VHS box art for the home video release of the two-part series premiere, "Night of the Sentinels" and was re-imagined by artist Steve Lightle for the cover to its comic book adaptation, X-Men Adventures #1.
