DescriptionI love when an artist I enjoy finally does something that is also in my collection goals crosshairs. That is exactly what happened here. I have admired Riley’s work on various projects over the years but never really anything I felt I needed to add to the collection. This Destro cover definitely caught my eye given my fascination with the current Energon Universe titles.i knew nothing was a given since it was going to be in a Felix drop but I took my chances and it paid off!In a time where so many variant covers are just pinups that have little to do with the story of that issue. This one bucks that trend and cuts to the core of what Destro #2 was all about. The story is all about Destro vs The Crimson Twins, Tomax & Xamot. The cover is both Destro facing off with them as well as brilliantly representing the fact that the Twins are in his head. Their threats on his business are consuming him. From a technical standpoint, I love how Riley uses screen tones throughout to help with the shading & sheen of Destro’s mask. Love seeing artists build a piece in this manner! I was also quite fortunate to have picked up the Cover A to this issue by series artist Andrei Bressan & it too represents this confrontation so well! Feels pretty cool to have both of them now in the collection! Fantastic cover! I need to check out more of Rossmo's work after seeing this and hearing Kasra talk about his love for Rossmo's art.

Funny, it was Kasra mentioning him that reminded me I needed to post this one. Riley has a really fun energetic cartoony style that really works for the projects I've seen him work on. He is currently working with DWJ on The Moon is Following Us and i've really been enjoying it!

Thanks Mikail! That's one of the things I enjoy most about this piece. I hadn't held a Riley original in hand until this one and I love the textures, just adds so much to the eye appeal!
