DescriptionI've had a soft spot for this piece for a long time! I first saw it when I started watching Jeff's WhatNot shows over a year ago, because he used the image as an example of his full-colour torso commission option. He also uses it on his commission information sign that he puts up at conventions (does that technically make this published??), as you can see in the additional images. I always thought it was a beautiful rendition of Supergirl, and an excellent example of Jeff's colour work, so you can imagine my absolute delight when it popped up for sale on eBay last week! Of course, I pounced on it right away, and now my collection is one sketch cover stronger.I think this is one of the nicest Supergirl pieces I've ever seen from Jeff! The costume is accurate, the colours are gorgeous (I especially love how he shaded the blues of her shirt!), and her expression just strikes me as being very in-character, which I always appreciate. Update: as of February 2025, this sketch cover has now been published in Jeff's 2025 "You Asked For It - In Colour!" sketchbook! It appears both inside the sketchbook, and on the book's back cover. Cute and innocent! I like the outline purple to seal in all the bright colors!

Jeff's colour art (especially his larger pieces like this one) is really something to behold. Definitely worth tracking him down for a piece of your own, J.C.! ;)

Soooo Vibrant! It's published adverstising in my view. So awesome to have a piece the artist themselves consider one of their best. Congrats!
