Description

This is the first piece of art I ever won from ComicLink, and it's also my first - and so far, only - piece of art by the late, great George Perez. CLink was featuring art of ten different Legion characters, all drawn by George. I thought that this one was the nicest of the bunch, and I was lucky enough to have the highest bid when all was said and done!

I love George's work, and I'm so thankful that I was able to add such a beautiful example of it to my collection. Dream Girl is my second-favourite Legionnaire (after Brainiac 5, of course!) and George did her such justice here. I especially appreciate that he included her cloud motif in the background, which gives an added clue to her identity for people who aren't as familiar with this version of her costume (from the Wade-Kitson "Threeboot" era of the Legion's extensive continuity).

This is terrific. That face is signature Perez. A lovely memento from one of the all time comics greats.
