Description

Sometimes you don't go looking for a collection of pages from a given story, but they find you.
I had a bunch of the Aurora Comic Scene models as a kid, and the Superman model was one that sat proudly on my bedroom shelf for years. I loved the comic books that came with the models as much as the actual kit. The Superman Aurora comic had beautiful art by Curt Swan and Frank Giacoia. When I saw the first of these pages available at auction last year I took a run at it and was nicely surprised to win it. A few months later, another page from the story was also up for auction, and I fortunate a second time. This splash page was the backdrop to be used behind the model. I'm very happy to add this nostalgic page, of childhood memories, to join the other 2 pages from this story.

I'm sure you have a more modern and larger scale figure in your collection that you can pose in front of this piece.

Talk about the perfect nostalgia piece! Swan’s Superman art just hits differently. I love that you’ve been able to piece together multiple pages from the same story, that’s got to feel pretty special. Congrats on the awesome addition, Rich!
