Description

Here is something you don't see every day. I was not sure if my fellow caf'ers would appreciate this but since I play and also collect Chess sets I thought I would post one of my favorites. I only collect hand made chess sets and Doug Anderson sets are my favorite ones. Each piece is completely hand made from scratch. It takes Doug 4-6 months to complete a set. Even the board is hand made.

looks amazing!! So is the set itself one of a kind? (and is that true of the Actors v Producers set that Robin Williams used to have?)

Doug on this set did 15 of them. But each one including the board is hand made from scratch. He would change up a few of the characters for the different sets in the series but everythin you see is completely hand crafted. Robin Williams owned the Actors vs producers set until his death.

Great as a chess set of for display as figurines! Very nice grouping. We'd be more on the side of the pop culture rocker icons unless they stacked the big time historical composers on the other side.
