DescriptionWhen I posted Zebra Batman (from Detective Comics #275) last week for Fred Friday, many of you mentioned that you had never heard of that particular iteration of Batman.I'm curious to see if that is the case this week as well. I mean, it doesn't surprise me that Zebra and Rainbow Batman are not well known, being from rather obscure comic books. But I just love quirky characters, so I have always been a fan of these two Detective Comics issues. Fred did take some license with the character. In the comic, the different suits that Batman donned were only one color ... but Fred has opted to make a suit with all the colors together. Anyway ... I'm excited to share with you all this sketch card of Rainbow Batman along with my CGC graded copy of Detective #275. Social/Sharing |

Hmm, maybe not quite as cool as Zebra Batman but still a super fun way to celebrate Fred Friday.

Come on, DC has it's top tier supervillain, the Rainbow Raider. Of COURSE there's a Rainbow Batman!

They'll find no gold at the end of this rainbow... only prison.

I know I'm getting here the next day but I'm relieved that at least Rick made a Skittles joke above. Still, he missed out on the opportunity to use the phrase "taste the rainbow" so here it is! Such a fun twist on Batman in both cases! This sketch card goes perfectly with the nice grade slab of the book.

I read that story in the 80 page giant of Batman 182. Rainbow Batman is popular because he's a pop culture sensation. Appears in Batman Lego, as a Funko Pop, and even Brave and Bold animated series. With so many acton figure variations of Batman, this one truly stands out. I mean zebra Batman can be excused as camouflage, but this is a Batman that wants to be noticed!

Now you need to get a Batman #182 graded to go along with it. This is a fun one, I love my Hembeck Rainbow Batman.
