Tonight ... on a very special Blossom ... I mean Fred Friday.

Three weeks ago, I attended a Live Art Sale and Chat with Fred Hembeck, hosted by Bill Cox.

And I'm so glad I did! Not only did I pick up a few choices pieces by Fred, but they did a couple auctions where the winner got to pick out a commission for Fred to do.

I won one of them, and of course I chose that bungling, boisterous, Bizarro Spider-Man .... REK-RAP!

And I'm so happy with how it turned out. It makes me laugh every time I look at it.
Fred captured his big toothy grin and general goofiness perfectly. Haha, that tongue ...

Hard to imagine anything more perfect for you. What a way to kick off Memorial Day weekend. Just hope that Ed doesn't get jealous. Congrats buddy! And happy Rek-Rap Friday to everyone!

The first one ever by Fred! So goofy and fun and the perfect compliment to the pages you've collected of the storyline! Could it also be the first ever color commision of Rek-Rap?

This is a stupendous day indeed! I think if we ever see another Rek-Rap show up on CAF by Fred Hembeck it would have to be the Black Suit / Symbiote version, and by god it would need to be in Paul P's collection. Happy Rek-Rap Day Weekend!
