Description

Star Wars Comic Magazine #8 Pg. 7-8 DPS ("Yoda Undercover" story). Pencils and Inks by Alex Sanchez.

Star Wars Week continues!

This DPS is from the Yoda Undercover story published in the 8th issue of Star Wars Comic Magazine (UK), released in July 2014 in the UK. I'm still looking for a copy of the magazine though ha and I'm not entirely sure if Alex also wrote the story but a cute little DPS for the collection nonetheless!

The story focuses on Yoda going undercover as a Jawa to investigate Separatist plans on Tatooine.

I always liked the Jawas. I thought they had potential to be handled like more serious threats, despite their diminutive stature. Something about the darkness under the hoods and the shiny beady eyes, I guess. I never got to watch Yoda Undercover when they spun it off from New York Undercover, but I'll get around to it someday.

I have been searching for the story to read somewhere online myself. Star Wars Comics Magazine was a UK publication, and copies are hard to find here in the colonies.

Yeah its tough I can barely find any info on it. Is it actually called "Star Wars Comics Magazine" or is it Star Wars Magazine (UK)? I assumed it was the latter, but MyComicShop tells me issue 8 of SWM UK was released in 1997 - so it can't be that one right? The mystery continues ha but would be nice to read the story eventually!

Whoever did the Wookiepedia entry included a pic of the cover, and it appears to be Star Wars Comic magazine...

But who knows? The title changed to Star Wars Rebels magazine around 2015. I have a couple of Ruairi Coleman pages that turned up in that run of the magazine that I'd like to read, too.

Thank you! I edited the title and description a bit to be more accurate then, and I suppose I need to set a different Ebay alert for a physical copy of this one. I'll find it eventually and scan the entire story!

If there are UK Star Wars comics that haven't been published in the U.S., then somebody at Disney/Marvel needs to do something about it,  I feel like they're leaving money on the table.  I know I would buy it - I want to read this story!

Tattooine is sunny
I ain't like those Jawa guys you hang around
Look it’s Easter Bunny
But they always seem to dress in brown

And I get discouraged, mmm
'Cause I never see UK StarWar
Jedi need ya force, babe
That's why it's May the fourth, yeah

I didn't Jawa pressure you, Kavi
But all I ever wanted to do

I wanna undercover
I wanna be the Jedi one that makes them go running
I wanna double pager
I wanna turn Falcon, sabers out
All night long, Tusken shout
Another, yeah
I wanna be the prequel that you come for
