I got this surprise email today from Robert Jewell. A piece that Brian had been working on for me from before the Big Wow con was completed. It is the best kind of art day...the kind that is unexpected and far exceeds your expectations. The image speaks for itself. Breathtaking and inspired.

Romeo and Juliet is still among my favorite stories. I am a bit of a romantic. It has such a powerful ending that it still moves me every time I see it and in every version of the story I have seen. Although I know how it ends, I still hope that young love will succeed and somehow Romeo gets the ill fated message or Juliet will awaken in time to stop Romeo from taking the poison. I thought the Baz Luhrman movie was a perfect film. I don't think they could have cast a better Juliet than Claire Danes and in my mind she will forever be Juliet.

Being a big fan of Brian's work, when given a chance at a commission I came up with an easy list of probably a dozen things. This was the one I was most hoping for and it also peaked Brian's interests.

I just watched Stardust again the other night and this likeness of Danes is near perfect. Like we would expect anything less from Brian. Congratulations on this lovely painting.

I remember seeing the pencil art to this and thinking, this Will Be Amazing when finished.. Well, Brian at his Best, this is Crazy Beautiful,, Congrats on a Wonderful piece of art.!!!
