Description

Dinosaurs ruled the ’90s—and Bart Sears ruled the pages of Turok #1! This series delivered peak Valiant energy, and this page is one of my absolute favorites: Turok vs. his arch-nemesis, Monarch! Nobody captured action and scale like Bart. Pure ’90s comic magic right here!

Another nice page! Congrats on getting two of them, Carl! One thing I find very curious is that they inked in the captions onto the board, but didn't letter inside them. I wonder why that was. Usually when you see that, it's on European and Asian comics, because their intent from the start is to publish in more than one language. But Valiant wasn't that foreward thinking in the early 90's were they?

You'd have to watch Carl's, Stingray's and Southern Comic Geek's series of youtube interviews with V-1 creators to find that out Ruben.

Look at all the slabs of meat by Sears!  The comic that would inspire the worldwide hit Activision video game!

I remember this one back in the day Carl and I still have a bunch of those #1's in the closet somewhere ! Bart brought this series back to life from the earlier Gold Key days from which a small number of us collectors remember from the 60's.Awe,great stuff here, lol.
