DescriptionDon't mind Alfie Gallagher, he just absolutely killed it over here with this Spidey themed homage to Stanley Kubrick's cult classic, A Clockwork Orange.I can't get over how good this piece is! I commissioned Spider-Man vs Mysterio and Alfie incorporated the movie idea into it. The result is pure genius! Mysterio is the perfect choice as we see him pulling the strings. Love the detail that went into the inner triangle, especially the gauntlets. The ink wash on Spidey in the background is another nice touch. The overall composition works extremely well, lending enough to the film but also completely standing as its own Spidey piece. Huge thanks to Alfie and Fraser Campbell for this Kickstarter reward from their new book STARCROSSED, and also for knocking this piece out of the park. Pretty cool that Mysterio is the one that can break the construct of the graphical design! The Gallagher Technique is very effective.

Oh, dude, how uniquely cool and fun is this?! I mean what a perfect hero vs baddie combo to get A Clock Orange homage treatment! Got that trippy, layered, 3D vibe, too. Congrats, man!

Wow! This is a really out there concept for a Spider-Man commission, but it works so well!

Phenomenal Spider-Man/Mysterio commission. Gorgeous graphic design by Alfie Gallagher with a nod to the movie poster for Clockwork Orange. What's not to love about this brilliantly designed commission? First of all,, the art is gorgeous. Secondly, I love that Spidey appears to be relaxing, hands behind his head, while his Spider-senses are going off. Thirdly, the appearance of Mysterio in the triangular center is delightfully offbeat, I love that Mysterio is dangling a marionette of Spidey which appears to be resisting his control. I love how Mysterior's hands break out of the rigid triangular block. All in all, a truly marvelous and original commission.
