this is from memory and it has been a long time so i hope i am remembering this correctly:

SDCC 2002 i had one goal -- find Bill Sienkiewicz!

that was easy.
the hard part was what to get.
i decided to chat with him about it when i found him.

i found him pretty easily and he showed me some pages for a batman story he was currently working on that blew me away!
he said he was in the mood to draw batman stuff.
i decided two-face would be good b/c it would be like getting two sketches in one!
he told me the price and i talked him down a little and said 'limited color' in hopes that the price drop would be a little favorable to him that way.
when i picked it up i saw there was no color.....well, that's pretty limited i guess.
:D

this was what started me having a whole batman convention collection though.

now, speaking of Bill. since then i've become convinced he is super-human at drawing. yes i'm sure he trained and practiced and has worked hard to be the artist he is....but what he does is just inhuman!! i don't know if he has better eyes than the rest of us or a better way of communicating to his hands as to what to put on paper but what he does by hand is just unreal! i can't believe his art sometimes. just wow!

what's funny is the story he was working on ended up never coming out.
