DescriptionThis page does a lot of lifting in just four panels.After saving the damsel in distress earlier in the issue, Ben goes on a series of dates with her. And with just four panels, Wells and Kano quickly show us how Ben becomes increasingly comfortable in her company and in being seen with her around town. Interestingly, it’s hard to tell exactly what the blue on this page is for. These are Alvaro Lopez’s inks over printed bluelines, and on some pages you can see the blue was blocked out for the backgrounds or perspective. Here, however, the large blue blocks have an unclear purpose. (See my writeup on page 9 for more on why I love this issue and decided to grab a bunch of pages from it.) Social/Sharing |

A date with Ben requires a lot of eating. Very nice how the city environments in every panel all benefit with having a brick surface pattern either from Ben or the buildings.
