DescriptionSmitten with his new lady love, Ben agrees to pick her up for lunch at the industrial supply plant she works at. That sets the stage for the second half of the story, which begins here on page 10.The two long shots of Ben approaching the plant quickly transition us to the new location. Wells and Kano also give us a bit of a clue in panel two, as the workers Ben comes across (but doesn’t recognize) are the same “thugs” he fought in the alley a few pages back. From there they quickly acclimate us to the situation. The bent door and Thing’s ominous shadow in panel three let us know something is afoot, followed quickly by her predicament in panel four and Ben’s reaction to finish up the page. Just a solid storytelling page from start to finish. Social/Sharing |
