Description

Here's one of the very few Tintin pieces I've got. This wonderful piece is by André Sipp, created based on Hergé's style.

Tintin was the first comic book I ever read, and the first comic book I ever fell in love with. [Yes Tintin came even before Gregory!] I was around 4 and just starting to read, and I received "Red Rackham's Treasure" from one of my aunts, who only had the single volume. And that was also when I learned—the hard way—what a good cliffhanger can do to you.

I like how he embellished Captain Haddock here. It makes you think why didn't Tintin do the same for the Professor, Thompson and Thompson, and the Big Chief.

Oh that's because the guy in the painting is not actually captain Haddock, but his ancestor who is famously identical to him, Sir Francis Haddock. =D
