DescriptionI'm a big fan of the comics that came out through Wildstorm, Cliffhanger, Image, Maximum and Awesome in the late 90's early 2000's, a time of wildly creative independent books. Steampunk was a Wildstorm series that Bachalo was working on where the story and the world really meshed with his art style. This is one of the pages I wanted the most from the series so it was exciting to see it show up, and obviously I went and got it. A great title splash of Fiona (back from the dead) on her search to find Cole (the main character in the series). Fiona is beautifully featured in this page and the background elements are some signature Bachalo design styles. Thrilled to get another Bachalo and another piece from an indie series of the 90's/2000's.Social/Sharing |

Yeah - This one's a beauty! Love steampunk and own a few pages from this series myself. Bachalo in top form.

Definitely a beauty! I'd love to see what pages you happen to own from the series, it was a fun read and the art was superb throughout.

As was the tradition of hot Uncanny X-Men artists of the 90's, their run made them the hottest artist in comicdom and they would strike out to do their creator owned book. Steampunk was Bachalo's and he brought the energy and fire of his UXM work. Particularly nice was the female lead designed to make fanboys drool and hook them along for the ride however long it took to get an issue out.

Man, love this one. Perfect character shot from Chris, and the Friend inks add so much. I think Friend's one of the best inkers out there - don't hear his name enough when it comes to those guys we mention being at the top. Congrats!
