This stunning variant cover to Boom! Studios' Briar 2, with Spider and Briar Rose, was created by Justine Frany of Next Comic Art. The painted (watercolor) cover was also available as a 1:25 virgin variant incentive. I recently discovered Frany's beautiful art and couldn't pass up the chance to own one of her painted covers.

Just a beautiful way of handling deep colors, black shadows, and lighting to create a soft and gentle cradle in the center where our eyes can rest.
