Description

Picked up this key background of the satellite tracking room in Cobra Headquarters, which was made for "Satellite Down," the eighth episode in season 1 of the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero cartoon. The background, made by noted Disney artist Andrew Phillipson (The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid), is on Crescent cold press 300 illustration board. The episode first aired on September 25, 1985.

So good! These gave the Joe cartoons such a high quality feel that it rivalled the anime that made its way over to the states!
