DescriptionMiyazaki's films are all masterpieces. It would be hard to find a rival in storytelling and artistry to the work done by Studio Ghibli, especially when working with Miyazaki material. Although I have many favorites, Porco Rosso has remained my true favorite out of all the films. I know it is not the most popular or most people's favorite but it is mine. Great characters, dialogue and story. I have a few genga (rough drawings for cels) from this series but his is my first cel. A nice image of Porco in his Savoia plane.I have now had this framed and on my wall for the past 7 years since I got it. Recently I picked up another Studio Ghibli cell that had a hand painted background that was not original to the cel. It took me a few days to realize how well that background would go with this cel and perhaps it is even a Porco Rosso background cel after all. Regardless, the pairing was inspired and I think there was some comic collecting Karma that put these two things together. Social/Sharing |

NIce. you should get a background put behind that if you can. the blues and greens in the landscapes from that movie really make the reds of the plane pop. Great pick up.

Great pick up.I plan on getting this framed and I was debating some background too. I agree, even some simple blue/green would probably makes this that much nicer on the wall.

WOW, Jeff, this pretty cool. Porco Rosso in the airplane! The perfect cell. Congratulations for such a beauty.
