Description

I am very excited to welcome the young witch Kiki into my collection. I am not an animation cel collector but decided to add a cel from a number of favorite animes to my collection. At the top of that list was Akira and Studio Ghibli. After recent results at Heritage Auctions, I feared my window to get cels might have passed me by. I think I got lucky with this one and for me it is perfect. It is a half figure image of Kiki that has a good size to it and captures here vulnerability and determination that is part of the charm of her character that has warmed the hearts of tens of millions of viewers. Kiki was my first Miyazaki film and it is still among my favorites.

Wonderful cel. A teen girl finding a new town and starting her own business. I think she may have delivered an item and is getting her notebook out for a signature.
