OOOOOOOH! Lightle Legion interiors from the 1980's! Some of the most beautiful art of all time and for some inexplicable reason, rare as hen's teeth! What a %$#@! BEAUTY! You're killing me here, Miki!

It must have been Legion Super-Heroes
Forever have fights in outer space
You were content with Lightle’s lines, that's your way
Mike Machlan inked a step refined

So Steve was the one of pencil glory
And Mike’s inks are on same wavelength
A beautiful face for all the names of Legion
A beautiful smile to hide eye strain

Did you ever know Lightle’s my hero
Drew every page I would like to see?
DawnStar flies higher than an eagle
For you are Wildfire beneath her wings

I like the depictions of depth and distance on this page. I can really believe these characters are floating in space and that some are closer to me than others. Excellent job by Lightle and Machlan.

Lightle's work on the Legion remains to this day some of the best artwork ever created depicting the team. Love his work on Dawnstar and Wildfire here.
