Original cover art by Alva Rogers for the fanzine The Acolyte #9, Winter 1945.

A very early, possibly the first, depiction of Cthulhu.

Rogers was nominated for Best Fan Artist at the 1946 Retro Hugo Awards, which were awarded for work produced in 1945 like this cover was.
