DescriptionLook carefully and you can see artwork from the hand of the grand old man of animation, Myron "Grim" Natwick (1890-1990). His artistic career started with cover designs for sheet music, initially for a friend who worked at a music publishing company. Natwick found that he was good at this type of work and contacted other publishers in Chicago, eventually illustrating the covers for many song sheets, usually in no more than two colors. Working for many studios but best known for CREATING BETTY BOOP and animating females including Snow White. I had the pleasure of meeting him just before he passed away at age 100.Social/Sharing |
