Description

In my Sanjulian gallery room, I have arguable my two favorite Sanjulian covers done in more recent times. Both reminded me of two Warren covers, one that I have; one that I longed for. But neither showcased the horror host---which became a star feature of the titled magazine (much like Warren's Vampirella). I was offered quite a few original Sanjulian covers showcasing Vampiress---and they were all beautiful. But the image that stuck in my head--the cover that screamed the host in my mind, was Ken Kelly's #1 cover. I tried to locate it initially---and found out a good collecting friend of mine actually reached out to Ken before the cover was even published---but neither of us were successful. But as another good collecting friend of mine said---certain items belong or should be with specific collectors! I'm glad that was the case with this beauty! Definitely one of my favorites done by Ken that was published in more recent times---and one of the last he did before we lost him too soon...Special thanks to Alex for reaching out to me on this. Closing a deal was easy and fair to both parties---

Wow! What a beauty! It's got the rich Ken Kelly colors and atmopshere that you can bite into!
