DescriptionMirela recounts how the vampire Mihail surprised her in the treetops while she spied on Draka, Vance, and Radu: “He looked like the ghost of Dracula, that is, Vlad the Impaler, the Voivode of Wallachia... as if he had stepped out of the portrait in my old schoolbook.” “A ghost!” “Or a vision created by a Master. The illusion was for Radu, so Mirela didn't see it in the best conditions.” “Hey, you seem to know a lot about this stuff.” “Go on, Mirela. Did you see the knight in the black cloak again?” “Here begins the part that I may have only dreamed... or rather, that I hope I only dreamed... as I looked down, I noticed a movement behind me, among the branches. There was something sinister spying on me in there... something very dangerous. In a panic, I ran away, but the creature followed me with incredible agility, until I found myself on the last branch of the last oak tree.” “I had heard of you, girl who lives in the trees. I just didn't know you were so beautiful. It will be even more pleasant to taste you!” The first panel shows that Kurjak has found a more comfortable seat. Check out the bottom left panel, with a close-up of Mirela's eye on the left side leading to a flashback on the right side. Mirela has not made the connection between Mihail's superhuman agility and Tesla's, perhaps because Tesla is friendly. Social/Sharing |

I think Andreucci is sneaking in Vampirella images here.

She does have the look, and you can't say 'Vampirella' without 'Mirela!' However the artist tells me this is a coincidence; he used his now-ex-wife as the reference for this story's beauty.
