DescriptionI got on Denys' list as soon as I heard he was attending OAX 2025. Denys is the first artist I ever got a piece from close to 40 years ago at a show in Indianapolis. I told Denys that had done an Iron Fist for me when I was in high school. That piece was Iron Fist and I still have the piece which you can see below.Denys wanted to see it and when he looked at it he Said "I was a child when I did this". Coming full circle does not happen that often in life. He asked that I send an email with the old piece which I happily did. Please feel free to follow my galleries as I add my other 2025 OAX pieces. That story is like the death and rebirth of the dragon Shou Lao.

great piece with an even greater story! pretty awesome that you got to show him something which brought things full circle for both of you in different ways!

I was hoping we'd get to see the old Cowan piece when you posted the new one, and what a treat it is. I'm sure it made Denys' day as much as it did yours to come full circle.

I did attach the old piece, along with the picture with Denys. It is one of the small thumbnails so you might have missed it.

Yep, I saw it! I was saying I'm so glad you did attach it, so we could see the full journey of the piece. Makes it even more special.

That's a great story and the old piece looks like Iron Fist was still in grade school! The modern piece brings what Cowan does best with street level grit and a jolt of the power in the punch!

2 Cowan Danny Rands, 40 years apart - wow! Full circle, indeed. Love how big the the fist is here and you got all that Krackly chi energy surrounding. Cowan's got such an organic vibe to his stuff...killer example here. Congrats!
