Description

Ron Lemen is a great friend who was one of the students, and later an instructor, at Watts Atelier back in the day. He's still teaching art in the LA area and online these days.

Here's an amazing Burnt Umber pickout oil study Ron did of Anders Zorn's oil painting "Portrait Of Jean Baptiste Faure By Piano". The original is a full color, opaque oil painting, whereas this study is in a transparent style, with a similar look and feel to watercolors. I really love this technique, especially in such capable hands.
