Description

I�ve been wanting something from Matteo for a while, but I knew I wanted a full figure sketch and not just a bust, so I had to wait. When his list opened for Fan Expo Dallas, I quickly signed up for a mail-out commish. I gave him two options: Doomsday or Atrocitus, and I�m glad he went with Big Red. Atrocitus is my favorite DC villain, and Matteo absolutely did him justice. Big thanks to essential sequential, especially Jason, for answering all my questions and keeping me updated.

The smooth brushwork by Scalera is so good with the graytones to create depth, volume, and atmopshere! The black and white are even more stark and powerful when contrasted with the grays in this piece.
