DescriptionOne of Marshall Rogers earlier intros into comic work came in 1977 with Misty and Colleen getting their own storyline outside of Iron Fist for the first time in Deadly Hands of Kung Fu 32. The storyline carried over into the next issue which was the last issue of Deadly Hands of Kung Fu. Because he was new and other great, more established artists at the time we're working other storylines in the book, he never got to do a cover. In 2006, along with Khari Evans Daughters of the Dragon reboot, a special reissue including 3 of Roger's Daughters of the Dragon storylines, was released called Deadly Hands Special. Rogers finally got to a do a cover. This depiction of Colleen is one of my favorite costumes ever and I am so blessed to have this piece in my collection. Outside of the X-men, this is one of the most pivitol storylines in shaping me as a comic fan.Social/Sharing |

It's so good he went back to that 70's style too! By this time Rogers was doing the Batman stories which were looser in linework than this.

Completely agree. He did such a good job paying homage to the original style here even though he had progressed tremendously as an artist.

Loved this callback cover, Marshall was killin' it like our two heroes! Tho, if Colleen's not careful while lopping off heads, Misty may need another bionic limb, congrats!
