DescriptionMiles Morales (vol 1) # 5 page 15 / 2nd print coverArt by Javier Garron Written by Saladin Ahmed Marvel Comics - April 2019 I'm excited to add this early page from Garrón's run on the series. This issue went to 2nd print and debuted Tiana Toomes, aka STARLING, on the last page. We got the chance to learn more about her and her origins with her first full story in issue #6. Thank you to Garron for giving us this beautiful line work! Social/Sharing |

What 90s Jim Lee was to us, pretty much... Garron's Miles is our superhero for the next gen.

Love the comparison. Much like the 90's books and tv series hooked me on the X-Men as a kid, the books and movies have hooked me on Miles and the Spider-Verse in the last few years.

The red webbing and the background lines are great tools Garron uses to have Miles stick out in space! A page of wall to wall crawling action, no wonder there's a cover image from it. The looping dive and the Miles specific Spider-sense framing also make this unique!

"wall to wall crawling action" might be my new favorite phrase! Thanks as always for the beautiful comments.

Some will argue that Miles' costume is a better interpretation than Peter's. Of course they are wrong and will burn in hell, however, this page with the red really showcases how great the design is, and the action and paneling is incredible. Congrats on this awesome page!

Hahahaha, love it! I'm probably not the best to ask b/c I love the latest Miles suit too designed by Chase Conley, which took a lot of critism despite it's well thought out design. I like to think this Miles suit is the perfect balance between Peter's classic look and the black suit. Thanks my friend!

Oh yes, the suit is a killer design for sure. For those that think it is better, well they will be burning in hell like the horrible bastards they are. ;)

One of my absolute favorite Garron pieces! So much packed into this page in terms of pure illustration, energy, storytelling...this one's got it all as they say! The red accents really top it off. Wait. It was used as a cover, too?! BONUS. Congrats, man!

Such great movement and action on this page! I love those "coming right at you" moments and perspectives throughout the panels. Those background lines in the first panel are killer too as well as the action lines in the last panel.
