DescriptionAnother big highlight of IC3 was meeting Ian Cinco. He is an incredibly nice person and it was an absolute pleasure to get to talk with him. I went through his portfolio on Saturday and realized not only is he talented, but he is also a very versatile artist. His work ethic shows in all of his art and you can tell that he really puts time into each and every piece that he does. That is on full display with this original take on Spider-Man and Venom.Ian gave me the choice of four thumbnails (see additional images) and I honestly liked something about every one of them. I ended up going with this one for a number of factors. First of all, the character appears otherworldly and I thought it was such a fresh take on the symbiote. The composition is fantastic as well, but it's the concept that goes hard! Spidey's timing is spot on as he grabs that tongue at the exact right moment, and then he is gone! You think he is sticking around with a Venom that looks like that?! Want to send a sincere symbiote thank you to Ian for knocking this out of the park! I'm not going to lie, seeing this, and a few other commissions on Instagram are what made me decide to commission Ian myself, and I'm glad that I did! His talent is massive!

Dick Van Dyck is a unsung hero. Managed to do his job with all this going on.

I love the way the perspective of the chimney vs. the rooftop doesn't make sense to my brain. A warped reality with an equally warped perspective and sense of humor. Nice bit of crazy chaos going on here!

I agree, out of the 4 thumbs, this one has a unique take to their battle. Excellent!

The most unique of all the thumbnails. Although, any of them by Cinco would have made for a great commission!

Spidey has Venom tongue-tied! well, not quite...but he's doing good work keeping Venom out of the chimney normally reserved for Santa!
Very cool piece and I like seeing various interpretations and plays on symbiote character designs. I would've been partial to this thumbnail as well among the 4 choices

You know I love it! This take on the symbiote is wild and unique, and the perspective adds yet another layer of complexity to this great commission.

Is there an artist I've commissioned that you haven't already, ha! Awesome piece by Ian. I love the big mouth!
