Description

This page follows the one where a Joe is killed (see pg. 1 in the Gallery) and Mainframe is wounded. What I love about the page is how ACO draws the extra Joe in the margins though he knew it wouldn’t be printed in the final version.

I asked him and he wrote: “ Sometimes I drew elements in the margins to correct things I didn't like. Then I fixed them in Photoshop. Other times I made larger shapes that would appear smaller in the panels so I could detail them more or to free up space for adding textures later.”
I’ve said this before, but those are the kinds of hidden treasures that make owning comic art so fun.

It gives us an extra bonus of artwork that very likely could have been used to keep the perspective and sight lines intact when the figures are so isolated in the panel.
