DescriptionHard to believe, but it has been one year since Ed Piskor's passing. I thought it was fitting to post this piece in honor of Ed, not only because of his love for Uncle Geof, but also because if not for Ed this commission would not exist. I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan Christopher Moss at the first Eddie P Con last August and I left that Saturday with a spot on his list.Bryan decided to do this commission in interior page format and I was thrilled as soon as he mentioned it. The rest of this piece is proper homage and tribute while also allowing his own style to shine. Bryan is an extremely versatile artist and I am blown away by what he did with this. First of all, the size of this piece is 13"x19" which is proper Global Standard Darrow Paper Size Format (GSDPSF). It is not on crooked hand cut Darrow paper although I am going to let it slide this time! Haha JK Bryan no point deductions here! :) Next is the execution and detail on display here. He successfully captures Cowboy action from different perspectives in each panel and it works so well. The page is dynamic and you also have some wonderful detail in that center panel! The poses are outstanding! Overall, it just makes for a lovely interior and serves as a reminder that the interior page approach is a great idea for commissions. I think that he could easily create an indie Shaolin Cowboy book and it would be fantastic. I want to send my sincerest love and thanks to Bryan for putting his all into this. If you are unfamiliar, Bryan is the founder of Kayfam and was a close friend to Ed. He has helped to build a strong community of artists and fans that were inspired by Ed and to ensure that the Ed Piskor legacy continues. I couldn't agree more with that sentiment and this piece serves as a perfect example. You can follow Bryan Christopher Moss on Instagram @strangethingsmoss Social/Sharing |

Looks wild with every panel moving the camera in unique ways to highlight the action and perspective distortion you don't find anywhere else.

really cool piece Tyler and with a great personal connection and sentimentality to it per your story. love commissions that are approached differently like this, with a panel layout and storytelling as opposed to a static image (nothing wrong with that either but nice to see a different approach now and then).

A story I one day hope to read. I picked up a few issues back in the day. I think I just need to go for some tpb's for this.

Being used to Darrow on Shaolin Cowboy, what a welcome sight seeing someone so talented carry the torch!

That middle splashy panel is worth the price of admission alone but sandwiched by the storytelling panels, too?! Perfecto! Love the "BLAM" capper and them's some lovely lines from Moss. Congrats!
