I attended my first San Diego Comic-Con this past week. I'd been hoping to attend for years but usually struck out ...until last year's lottery. I had no idea what to expect but the con was a roiling cauldron of enthusiasm, fandom, and an appreciation for all things geek. Not everything on display was up my alley but there was something for everyone.

What wasn't surprising was the great art and artists Felix Comic Art typically brings to events. I saw Dan work on this Extremity sketch in a YouTube stream and it stood out to me as one of the best ones offered at the show. I was lucky to get it when I arrived at the con Thursday morning.

The rest of the con was equally rewarding. I networked with new and familiar collectors, attended Dan's storytelling panel, and met my favorite creator, Jaime Hernandez, at his signing. What a rich bounty.

I can't wait to go back.

All that red tape of the lottery is cut and you should get priority for badges next year!
