DescriptionI came across Frederik's work online and was immediately drawn to his art style. There is definitely some EC horror influence which I am all for! I also noticed that he had drawn a fantastic Venom and hence the idea for this commission was born.Stellar composition on display with this piece and he really did a fantastic job of bringing all of the elements together here. The character design and poses used for Spider-Man and Venom are outstanding, and they work so well with the hand lettered logo. Also love the detail that went into the battle damage on Spidey. The positioning of the tendrils are perfect and help convey that Spidey won't be getting out of this one easily. Overall, the end result is a really fun one with some great horror vibes mixed in. Symbiote content and EC horror make for a fun crossover homage! The hand drawn trade dress is done really well here, and really like the battle damaged look on Spidey's costume as well. The Venom is big and bold but not so overly exaggerated or extreme like you often see, the scale between him and Spidey looks just right! nice piece.

What an awesome piece! Funny enough, I am sure if you turn the page, there must be some story about my house. Four females in my house and all for of them have it bad. "Dad come kill the spider!" "Are you serious kids it's just a speck." That and if you ever meet my wife ask her about the spider in the car story lol. It's made for print.
