DescriptionHere's the last of my little Kitson LSH inked prelims! This one is even smaller than the other two, in terms of art size. It's drawn on a piece of paper instead of vellum, and the art doesn't take up the entire sheet, unlike with the other prelims. I do have to wonder if this is a "prelim of a prelim", with the vellum inks still out there somewhere, or if this was the only inked prelim this page ever got.Either way, it's the immediate follow-up to the prelim for page 8 that I have, with Cosmic Boy, Colossal Boy, Star Boy, Light Lass, and Element Lad learning more about the strange planet of Dormir, and its information-bearing energy beings. I like how even in this very early layout, Barry had a good idea of how all that intricate machinery in the bottom panel was going to look. Social/Sharing |

if this is a prelim of a prelim, I'm wondering how Kitson's prelims of a prelim of a prelim look! haha. maybe just very loose pencils/thumbnail? I'm half joking of course but would not be surprised if he had a step even before this. thanks for sharing these, they were interesting to see

I was happy to share them! Thank you for always stopping in to have a look! And just wait til I get around to posting the 11x17 pencil prelims I've picked up from this run. Those are really something special!

Looks great how he blocked it all out. The shadows are real heavy on the right as the action of the Legion are pushing in that direction at the top and bottom.
