Description

I loved Captain Carrot when I was a kid, so this was a fun one for me. Carol Lay did quadruple duty here with pencils, inks, lettering, and some of the dialogue.

The page primarily features Fastback, and then in the final panel, more members of the Zoo Crew show up: Alley-Kat-Abra, Yankee Poodle, Rubberduck, and Captain Carrot himself (plus a peek of Pig Iron's leg). You also see some Oz characters -- namely, a winged monkey and Wogglebug (someone correct me if I'm wrong on that last one -- it's been a while since I've read the Oz books).

These are very popular and sought after by loyal fans! This mini series saw Lay take the illustration work to storybook levels.
