DescriptionSo, Lois Lane is not usually the first character who comes to mind when I think "I want some comic art!" But when the May 2025 Mystery Sketches were going on, the idea of journalism was on my mind, and I thought she might make a cool art subject. My specific request for this one was: "Lois Lane (optional inspiration: brave/cunning investigative journalist)" Because Lois has filled MANY roles over the years: "tough-talkin' career gal," clueless love interest, sneaky love interest, wife, mother, even a super-hero herself sometimes. And all those are valid takes looking at the character over the years... but I really wanted to journalist side capture... ... and Daimon Hampton definitely delivered. I had this unformed vision in my mind of Lois surrounded by a "sea of stuff" (for lack of a better term) to show off that she is a report. I had no idea what that nebulous "stuff" would be, just that Lois would be decisively moving through it -- and that's exactly what I got. The Daily Planet press pass really sells it for me! And I love her haircut choice :) Size: approx. 8.5" x 11" Social/Sharing |

Cool idea for Hampton to show Lois as a the intrepid star reporter ready for action. It's a spotlight on the everyday heroes who put it on the line in their careers.
