As the proud patron of both the inks (by Corey King) and color rendering by Steve, I can tell you that this piece is prominently displayed on the door of my comic room - The Danger Room! Steve is always great to work with - having done 19 color rending commissions (including this one), I can honestly say that each one was better than the last! This one was a lot of fun as Steve and I had a healthy dialogue about how to manipulate the gradient background to really help the characters pop off the page. Add to that the fact that this is an homage to the late, great Dave Cockrum and one his earliest interpretations of the Gen2 team of X-Men; and it's clear why this piece holds a special place in my personal collection.
