DescriptionUntitled Memento MoriBy Luke Eidenschink Ink on 6 x 9 in. Illustration board Not for Sale Luke Eidenschink is an award-winning, self-taught, pen-and-ink artist who specializes in fantasy and adventure illustrations. His style is cross-hatch heavy in the tradition of Roy Krenkel and his incredibly original layouts channel classic Dungeons & Dragons with a next-level precision. This was an SDCC gift from one of my CAF Las Vegas pals, and the Memento Mori theme is suitable-by-proxy for my Death of the Endless collection. There is also a deckmaster-meets-tarot quality to this that virtually screams DC Vertigo by way of Cirith Ungol. While clearly influenced by Frank Frazetta, Luke's got his own thing going on and it's a potent blend of Middle Earth and Heavy Metal, which just happen to be some of my favorite things. Placement of the tattoo is up to you. Backside is ok.

A different version of Death than you normally collect, but this piece is perfect for you Matt... look into those eyes... dark yet full of stories and intrigue just like your soul!

I love skulls, big and small! What a cool, little piece. Of course, I'm starting to worry about you and your obsession with Death.....

Nice SDCC gift from the Vegas crew (or dude). If this was a victim of a serial killer maybe they kept a tooth as a trophy or Memento! Either way, Luke's hatch work and card like design make for a cool piece.
