It's so easy to just think of you as a painter, that I sometimes forget what a fabulous all around illustrator you are! Love the shading on this!

to be a great painter,one must first be a great illustrator....just look at Frazetta.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys! It's always interesting to hear reaction to something you don't regularly do. I'll post a few more. And Steve, with all the B&W commissions I'll be doing, we'll have enough for that sketchbook in no time! :-)

no problem joe,everyone here loves seeing your art. you should post some of your figure drawing pencils,some drawn from life,and some done out of your head,it'd give the rest of us some additional insight into your work. i personally always like to see an artists figure drawing sans reference material,it's fun to see what people can create from what they've absorbed.
