Description

15.25" x 10" image area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Action Comics #422 Page 2 HUMAN TARGET original art (DC, 1973). Dick Giordano. Fantastic very early art featuring the Human Target.

From the story, "The Shadows-of-Yesterday Contract". Christopher Chance takes on Hyram Walsh as his client, a man who is being pursued by a ruthless killer with ties to Chance's past. The assassin is the same man who killed his father. He takes on the case for nothing because the man can't pay, and reflects on his origins.

Great concept in the 70's style of espionage and adventure! Looks great in b&w with hard boiled street level action!

Seemingly everything Giordano touched during the first half of the 1970's displayed incredible draftsmanship. Wonderful looking comic art!

Wow! What a great page. I love the first figure, the shadows in the middle panels, the closeup, and the way he ended the page.
