Description

Jim Holdaway-{1927-1970}, an amazing artist & an amazing strip.The strip started in 1963' in the "Evening Standard",and had a female as the lead, with a male character in the supporting role.The Spy craze was on.!! For a kid growing up during this time the strip seemed to "mirror" the TV show "the Avengers", with Modesty of course being "Emma Peel", although "Willie" was no "John Steed".In the 80's I read the "Titan" 1980's editions of the series and fell in love with the strip all over again.
