Description

This is a great sketch by Marie Severin of Herb Trimpe as the Incredible Hulk. Trimpe once told me that he could identify with the Hulk on a lot of levels, and creators often put a lot of themselves into their work, so it is only logical that art would begin to imitate life. This is not only a nice sketch of the Hulk but a great likeness of Trimpe, lovingly rendered and signed by Mirthful Marie. (Date unknown, but likely early 1970s.) It is drawn in marker on 8.5 x 11 inch cream colored paper and in good condition. There is some slight discoloration at the bottom left, away from the artwork, that may be from a coffee spill. If Marie was drinking the coffee when it spilled, it is possible that it has her DNA in it. Now, I'm not saying you could clone your own Marie Severin, but ...
