Original cover art for the recalled beer bottle issue. I guess there was some mothers that did not like Superman holding a so-called beer bottle so they changed it to soda pop on the reprint.

I was told the suppliers instructed the comic book stores to destroy the first printing, but of course, not many were destroyed.

Just fantastic piece of bonding for not only Clark and Pa, but also Lois and Martha! Gary Frank's run of illustration styled covers were major highlights furthering the Superman mythos one cover at a time.
