Created for Disney�s Peter Pan (1953), this striking concept presentation artwork depicts the unforgettable Captain Hook through the lens of Mary Blair�s modernist design sensibilities. Her stylized approach and dramatic color choices informed the film�s adventurous spirit and theatrical characterizations. Presentation artworks were used within the studio to establish visual direction and survive today in very limited numbers. A historically important example of Mary Blair�s contribution to Disney�s Golden Age of animation.
